A Golden Dream in Motion: India & Jake’s Sicilian Wedding Affair

A poetic collision of classic romance and modern elegance, India and Jake’s wedding unfolded like a timeless fashion editorial set in the heart of Italy with whispers of Gattopardo grandeur woven through every detail. Curated with intention and orchestrated down to every last tulle fold, this celebration was more than a union it was an aesthetic manifesto of love.
The day began in the extraordinary Palazzo Borgia del Casale, an 18th-century residence nestled between the Church of Santa Lucia alla Badia and Palazzo Bonanno-Toscano, in the heart of Piazza del Duomo in Ortigia. Though its current façade reflects early 20th-century reconstructions, the palazzo dates back to 1396, once serving as an Aragonese stronghold. With red-tinted upper floors, sculptural balconies, and a baroque courtyard, it evokes the grandeur of Sicilian nobility and the legacy of the Borgia and Impellizzeri families—a setting that felt lifted from the pages of Il Gattopardo, where elegance and faded power coexist in quiet magnificence.

It was in this setting, luminous with history, that India prepared for her day. She wore a minimalist silk satin gown that clung to her like liquid light—fluid, elegant, and timeless. Her look was effortlessly elevated with sheer Gucci slingbacks, a whisper of mesh and sparkle that caught the sun with every step. Styled with restraint and precision, India was the embodiment of the modern bride: radiant, poised, and editorial without ever being excessive.

Jake, equally refined, wore a classic black tuxedo with a clean white shirt and silk bow tie, an ensemble that mirrored his calm, magnetic presence. Together, they moved like a perfectly styled editorial come to life.
Her bridesmaids, each in soft butter-yellow silk slip dresses, formed a glowing tableau. The color caught the Italian summer light with ease, and their silhouettes were both sensual and delicate. Each look felt individual, yet in harmony with the next: a visual poem of friendship and understated elegance.

The ceremony took place indoors at Castello del Solacium, a venue whose noble presence made further embellishment unnecessary. We styled the space with subtle, romantic florals by @gianmarco_di._bella, choosing to let the architecture breathe and the emotion take center stage. There were no theatrical candles, no exaggerated staging—just sincerity, music by @dammenquartet, and the kind of stillness that only real love creates.
Beneath a canopy of magnolia trees, the ceremony unfolded, the aisle strewn with white rose petals and lined with rustic wooden chairs adorned with silk ribbons. Guests, dressed in timeless black tie with intentional flair, bore witness as Jack swept India into a cinematic kiss, a dip so perfect it felt choreographed by the stars

And then came the celebration.
The reception unfolded inside the castle, where refined interiors and curated décor met Sicilian soul. @accademia_del_monsu_catering delivered an exquisite culinary journey steeped in tradition and contemporary elegance, while @campamatt.cocktailcatering brought the energy with a dynamic open bar that turned drinks into an experience.

All of it, every stolen glance, every movement of silk, every moment between light and shadow was captured in striking detail by the wedding photographer, Gianmarco Vetrano. The images didn’t just document the event; they told its story. Editorial in composition, emotional in tone, and timeless in spirit like stills from a modern day Gattopardo.

From the regal stillness of Palazzo Borgia del Casale to the intimate celebration at Castello del Solacium, India and Jake’s wedding was a symphony of elegance, emotion, and intention. And for me, as their wedding planner, it was an honor to help translate their vision into something that now lives beautifully forever.
